New VP Sales & Marketing at ViroGates

Please welcome Thomas Krarup who has joined ViroGates as new VP Sales & Marketing.

Thomas’ educational background includes a PhD in biology from Copenhagen University, Denmark, and Syracuse University, USA.

Following the university years, Thomas has worked in the life science environment for major companies including Radiometer Medical, Becton Dickinson and Roche, as well as for smaller companies including Exiqon and ChemoMetec.
In these companies, he has held positions within scientific marketing, licensing, business development and sales.

Going forward, Thomas will anchor our direct sales and be responsible for our distributor management.

“I look very much forward to get the suPARnostic® biomarker spread out in Emergency Departments in routine clinical use, where we can help the doctors decision to discharge patients and the hospitals to significant savings” says Thomas Krarup.

48 hospitals use suPAR in clinical routine for triage of patients in the Emergency Departments and COVID-19 units. Clinical routine is defined by the placement of two Purchasing Orders within the last 12 months rolling.
This period covers January 1, 2022, until December 31, 2022. Some hospital locations cannot be disclosed due to confidentiality.
