TurbiLatex Approved for Siemens Healthineers ADVIA XPT: A Milestone in Diagnostic Advancement

Wed Jan 22 2020

ViroGates proudly announces a pivotal achievement – the completion of development and regulatory approval (CE-IVD) for its suPARnostic TurbiLatex product on the renowned ADVIA Chemistry XPT System by Siemens Healthineers. This marks a notable milestone as the first validation of suPARnostic TurbiLatex for a Siemens Healthineers instrument, showcasing ViroGates’ commitment to advancing diagnostic capabilities.

Siemens Healthineers, a key player in the global in-vitro diagnostics market, hosts the ADVIA XPT system in hospital laboratories. This fully automated clinical chemistry analyzer operates seamlessly, processing up to 2,400 samples per hour without manual intervention from blood sampling to result generation. The approval of suPARnostic TurbiLatex for ADVIA XPT complements its existing approvals for the Roche Diagnostics cobas systems.

suPARnostic TurbiLatex, rooted in turbidimetry technology, employs a particle-enhanced turbidimetric assay, measuring the loss of transmitted light intensity due to particle scattering in blood samples. This method is foundational to immunoassays and forms the basis for numerous central laboratory clinical chemistry instrument platforms in hospitals.

With this regulatory milestone, ViroGates’ suPARnostic TurbiLatex can now be seamlessly implemented into routine clinical use at hospitals utilizing ADVIA XPT systems, offering enhanced diagnostic capabilities for healthcare professionals.
